Sury-Achi

Suri-ashi is the sliding walk for stage of reference in the japonese tradition. Its appropriation makes the devoted object of the first year in certain Butoh schools.

We are lucky enough to experience the taste of this practice in a safe spot.

Benefits : Gain on focus. Connection with one’s self présence. Awareness of visible and invisible surrounding. Amplified desire to move and create dance. Meeting a bench of creativ people who dare to join, just like you (or for their own reason!).

What to bring : two unicolor clothes set. (stuff to hold hairs together for women)

We’ll mostly work barefoot.

It’s accessible whatever your level and physical tunning.

First of all, we’ll clean the space japonese style. Then you’ll have a short time to do whatever you need before we gather for a round of presentation.

The warm up will last one hour and a half and include elements from physical theater Jacques Lecoq exercise, some Do-In practice and Body-Weather routine. We'll gradually engage our teng-tien (core). It will bring each of us in a state of readyness for shifting whenever/wherever.

Next we’ll folow a combo of impro games and exercices in solo, duets and groups.

And finally the Suri-Ashi experience in itself.

We'll spend a short unforgettable immersion through the field of being moved by ghosts and ancesters in a subtile and playfull atmosphere grounded in activ meditation on process.

We’ll keep last half an hour for massage and feedbacks.

Attendance : Maximum 12 .

The session will be facilitated in english (french/spanish).

Location : Studio Universe Praha, Dittrichova 3, Praha

Cost : CKZ 600,-. for pedagogical fees and rent of the space.
